I've been boarding my dogs and hunting at WingShooters for close to twenty years. Now on my third and fourth brittany spaniels, Harley and Rocco, both trained by Charlie, WingShooters has become their second home.

My son, now 24 years old, shot his first pheasant at WingShooters at the age of 8. We have many fond memories of hunts through the years with family and friends and look forward to many more.

The convenient location so close to Ann Arbor and US 23 makes it very accessible at any time. Charlie and his son Chuck provide expert service in the field and warm hospitality after the hunt.

Several friends have found their way to WingShooters to have Charlie train their dogs and have been very satisfied.

I'd recommend WingShooters to anyone looking for a great place to board their dogs and experience upland bird hunting as good as it gets in lower Michigan.

I have a one and a half year old GSP and contacted Wingshooters. Charlie spent a lot of time in the initial interview with us and was up front about what he could provide and what I could expect out of the training session.

I had checkout out other trainers and was not impressed with the style of training or treatment from their presentation. After the training session I could see major accomplishments in my GSP.

Charlie advised of the next steps and provided written documentation for follow up. One year later I attended a handler’s class at Wingshooters with my GSP and that’s where progress was made for me because I then learned as well as the dog.

This season was a pleasure with my dog not spent in frustration but with pride in watching what the GSP was capable of with proper training.

Charlie is an absolute dog psychologist! In one minute he can tell you more about your dogs thinking and behavior than you could ever come up with on your own, and his solutions to problems are logical and they work.

He really isn't so much a dog trainer as he is a trainer of those that train dogs. His ingenious method will teach you how to deal with your dog using strategies that are proven to work.

The spirit of Wingshooters Club is just like Charlie and Chuck themselves. It is a place where you'll feel comfortable and have a great time, with lots of laughs, but not forget there are loaded guns around and safety is taken seriously.

It is just the ideal atmosphere to enjoy some comradeship, shoot some fast flyers from ideal covers, experience some awesome dog work and warm up in front of the fire with friends.

In over a decade of shooting at Wingshooters, I've never had anything but a great day in the field. Charlie has a fabulous piece of property that varies from prairie to deep woods, so it's always interesting. And his dogs are the best. On chilly days when others are holed up at home with their TVs, a trip to Wingshooters always makes for a great time out of doors.

Wingshooters offers a very natural shooting experience in a very rusic setting. This is not your average "pay as you go" club hunt. You gotta' be durable because the birds will give you a run for your money in the varied terrain you cover. The clubhouse hospitality is wonderful, just like out in your own woods, but not for the faint of heart.

I have been a member of Wing Shooters since 2003. My buddies and I get out to the club at least 4 or 5 times a year.  We are always greeted with a handshake and smile.  Charlie and Chuck run a first rate operation with safety the number one priority.  The dogs they use are excellent and it is worth getting out just to watch them work the birds.  No two shoots have ever been the same and we get great action every time out.  It is one of my favorite places in Michigan.
